I love this photo. Not only is it beautiful, it also serves to express how I feel on most days. I took the photo several weeks ago in our front yard. I think this "fog" that I'm in is probably one of those built-in life savers. If I felt the full emotional brunt of the loss of mom, I don't think I'd be able to function.

You're absolutely correct on the fog, our brains know best how much to let in. You're aware of it, and understand it-that puts you miles ahead of where me when I lost my Dad, and that's a very good thing.
