Creative Lettering
While recuperating from all of last year's calamities, I signed up for an online creative lettering class from Joanne Sharpe. There are 29 lessons, all for $35. And I'm learning a lot ! and really enjoying it. It's an on-going class and you can sign up at any time. I've previously purchased two pieces of her lettering and they grace my art space, and inspire me. Here are two assignments I've been working on. The colored one is mostly done. The non-colored one has a long ways to go with doodling in the letter spaces, and then coloring. The assignment was to use the word "Love" and hearts, and I added my husband's name, Les.
If you're interested in this class, you can check it out at http://joannezsharpe.blogspot.com/ I am doing a daily journal project this year, so was especially interested in learning better lettering and doodling, plus I intend to use the lettering skill that I learn on greeting cards that I make. So far 4 of my friends have gotten gifts from me of their name specially lettered.
I am feeling better now, and will begin teaching at All About Pictures again in March. On March 3 I'll be doing a demo on the Big Shot Die Cut machine from 1-3:00. On Wed March 28 from 6- 8:30 I'll be teaching a Penny Black sticker greeting card class. Samples will be at the store the end of Feb.
