Altered Trading Blocks

Eileen Hull is a designer of die cuts for Sizzix, (among other things). One of her newest dies is a die that creates a block.  Eileen has this great idea that the blocks could be used like ATCs (Altered  Trading Cards).  Eileen was going to introduce the ATBs to the craft industry at the January 2014 Craft and Hobby Association meeting.  She asked for volunteers to decorate an ATB for a display.  I love working on projects that are new to me, so I volunteered.

The die makes 3 equal panels.  It's very easy to create a block by adhering the two panels, and then folding them.  Below you can see Squeak, who was supposed to advise me in the decorating of this ATB. Once she found out the theme was DOGS, she was not happy.

I chose the theme of DOGS for my ATB because when I started playing with this project we had just gotten home from vacation, and one of our stops was to Best Friends Animal Sanctuary in Utah, where we volunteered for 2 days.
